Lisa Albanese MD is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as Integrative Medicine, and is also a certified medical acupuncturist. She graduated from from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health in 2006 and finished her Physiatry residency at Carolina’s Rehabilitation in 2010. She has a special interest in working with people who have chronic pain and anxiety and wish to thrive rather than rely on medications to get by. Whether chronic aching all over the body, or specific areas that are problematic, she has multiple tools and strategies to help manage and treat symptoms as well as underlying issues. She also has training for suboxone prescribing as well as Sublocade and can assist with opiate use disorder management. She has undergone acupuncture training through the Helms institute, and has training in functional medicine, yoga, prolotherapy, energy coaching, microcurrent positional tuina, and meditation. She operates from the principle that our bodies inherently have the capacity to heal. She creates a safe environment in which to explore any area of life and health that are not working as well as you would like.
